Miniature American Shepherds
My dogs live, work and play alongside me at the farm. AKC registry recognized Miniature American Shepherds, or "Mini Aussies" as they are sometimes nicknamed are incredibly bright, friendly, loyal breed-- a "downsized" version resembling the Australian Shepherd. In some, they have retained their herding instinct and drive. Puppies are born and raised in my home. My breeding program places a huge emphasis on Temperament and Conformation. All of my puppies go to companion homes where they must sleep in the home at night. Some of my puppies have started therapy work and agility with their new families. For me at the farm, I like for my dogs to be familiar with working cattle. I don't breed until I have a full waiting list of families waiting for their new family member.
My puppies go home with a PupBox, a supply of the food they are used to & a blanket that smells like their litter & family. They are vaccined, dewormed and health checked by a veterinarian before they leave for their new homes. My puppies are raised in my home, taught the Puppy Culture curriculum and are mostly potty trained before they go home. For the rest of your puppies life, we will keep in contact through my private puppy family Facebook group, where you will have a community of Showkayce puppies to share and socialize with. I offer lifetime customer support should you have any questions.
ABOVE: Our original dog yard when it was first built in 2017. Since then, it has been expanded to allow the dogs access to a full acre of lilac bushes, garden, covered porch with dog beds and open space. In 2019 a indoor heated dog building was built with a dog door!

LOYAL - HARDWORKING - ADVENTUROUS
Robin is as sweet and smart as they come! She is an all around wonderful dog, my chore buddy, my tractor dog and calving supervisor. Robin goes from sleeping beside my office chair, to riding in the chore tractor to feed cows, to riding in the gator checking calves effortlessly. She is brilliant and friendly, with an unforgettable charisma that makes her remembered by everyone she meets.
I bought her as a companion but noticed her natural ability and inclination to cows as she matured & in Winter 2016 I started her on the basics of herding, which is her forte! Robin is a true all around dog with an emotional intelligence unlike any other dog I've known. She has an adventurous spirit and if I ask her to Jump, she says How High? She is the alpha dog in our home. As of her December 2019 litter, Robin is officially retired from being a momma!
CH BBPIS Saffire's Homecoming Queen "SADIE"
2018 AKC, CKC, ASCA Registered Australian Shepherd Blue Merle Female with 2 Blue Eyes
Co-owned with Sandy Resch, Saffire Kennels
GOOFY - CHEERFUL - DORKY
Sadie is an Australian Shepherd and NOT part of my Miniature American Program.
Sadie is my first ever show dog! She took Best Baby Puppy in Show at her first show in 2018. She quickly finished her CKC Championship last summer and as of Fall 2019 she is 1 point away from her Canadian Grand Championship which I plan on achieving before retiring her from showing.
My co-owner and I will be selecting a dog that will compliment her for a 2022 litter of show puppies. We are looking for show homes and companion homes for this litter.

GOOD DOG - SOFT HEARTED - FAITHFUL
You won't meet a dog who SO desperately wants to be a "good dog" as our Sage. Sage is intelligent and has the heart of a therapy dog. She is soft, genuine and gentle. She inherited her mother's emotional intelligence.
Sage is an improvement on the color clarity, head and ears that I wanted out of this cross. For my next cross I would like to add more bone, length of coat and reduce the height.
Sage will start her cattle work in the Fall of 2019 and will take lessons with Billie Richardson.
